C’est le ton qui fait la panique

In this issue, we dissect the narratives that fuel stereotypes about the religions that coexist in the DRC.

Generally speaking, these religions coexist in harmony. However, stereotypes based on religious affiliation do exist. These stereotypes appear in subtle ways, particularly through language.

How are these religious-based stereotypes formed and expressed through our language? How do they influence our lives together? And above all, how can we overcome them to strengthen our national unity?

To discuss this, our guest is Lucien Ramazani, philosopher, political science researcher, and doctoral student at the Catholic University of Louvain.
