Gerd Junne holds the chair of the study of International relations at the University of Amsterdam and his fields of experience are conflict resolution and development aid.

Ever open to new developments, he has been acting as an interlocutor between us and interesting researchers and other organizations at the cutting edge of the evolving field of media for peace building. In this way he has connected us to eminent Dutch researchers in our field, which helped us carry out evaluations as well as coordinate our current Academic processes. On top of this he sits on many different boards of partner organizations, such as, for example, WarChild, comprising alliances with mobile phone companies.

Jan Terlaak

IN MEMORIAM: Jan ter Laak

In March of 2009, former International Secretary of Pax Christi and our Board Secretary Jan ter Laak died after a brief illness. For us, Jan was a true “active bystander,” a citizen who takes an empowered stand for human rights, fights against injustice, and works toward benevolent interaction between people. He is profoundly missed.
